"I’m Taking It Back" Bishop Fred Bentley
1 Samuel 30: 6-8
Bishop expounds upon a trial of David. He teaches us, whatever it is that you have lost, it’s not all lost. There is hope. He reminds us that the Devil will make you feel like it’s a lost cause. But God has the power to return your things and ensure you understand the removal was for the better.
Bishop explains how David was greatly distressed. His wives had been captured and the people of God were beginning to turn against him. David was facing death from all angles. And in the midst of jeopardy, David encourages himself in the Lord by requesting the priest for prayer.
Bishop teaches that the very thing you may have lost probably meant no good. That “thing” was hindering your praise and worship. We must consult God, as David did, before we go looking for our lost things. God may be trying to free you up by removing your things. God may have had to rid you of those things because it was too heavy for you. He may have removed those things because you can’t love Him like you should or you can’t hear Him like you should.
Bishop encourages us as he tells us, once God gives us the okay to retrieve our taken stuff from the devil; we need to get ALL of our things. And even your family members’ things. We are to let the devil know God sent me, and I come to get Everything!!
