“Pick Up Your Praise” Pastor Morris Halyard

Psalms 137: 1-4

Pastor Halyard preaches that as we go through the natural state of living, the pressures of living can cause us to drop our praise. He reminds us of the people of Israel. At a time where they as a People, were in very trying times. They were enslaved, oppressed, depressed and had thoughts of giving up. And there are times in our lives where we may feel like this, but Pastor came to remind us that our best days are yet to come. He says we ought to focus on future faith and not on the present. We know God has done it in the past and will do it again.

Pastor teaches that sometimes when we recall happy past events, we bring up past hurt. But we can’t dwell on the past. You will not be able to move forward if you are sitting down on God. If you are tired of pressing, tired of fasting, tired of coming to church… GET UP!!! Get up and praise the Lord. Your relief is in your praise. Your blessing is in your praise. Your praise is your blessing.

Pastor preaches that we cannot sit down this season. A Saint cannot defend himself while they’re sitting down. Nobody told you to stop praising God. Nobody told you to hang up and give in. Because you felt bad you have given up and plan on sitting this one out. Pastor teaches us to GET UP!! PICK UP YOUR PRIASE!! AND GIVE IT TO GOD!!
