"The Right Connection" Bishop Fred Bentley

John 15: 1-7

The Bible says Jesus is the true vine. God cares for the branches and makes them fruitful. True followers of Jesus Christ are the fruitful branches. Bishop teaches us that the broken and unproductive follower will be separated from the vine and will die spiritually. We ought to not love the things of this world, but love the people. Jumping and dancing is not the fruit of the Lord. Showing love and winning souls over to Christ are fruitful actions.

Bishop gives us four steps of how to abide in the Lord as he hath commanded.

1. Continue to believe Christ is Lord. You have to believe that Christ is Lord and has dominion over all.
2. Receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior. You have to receive Christ in your heart and keep him first. Believing is in vain if you have not received Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
3. Obey the word. Do as he says. Read the Word of God and apply it to your life.
4. Continue to believe the gospel. You have to believe that Christ died for your sins and rose again the third day.
