“Wait on the Lord” Bishop Fred Bentley

Psalms 27:13- 14

We as believers are moving so fast today. So fast, we don’t see or recognize the small things God have blessed us with. In today’s world we are missing out on the finer things in life because we don’t want to wait. Bishop warns us this is a trick of the enemy. He says the devil wants us to move so very quickly and be easily moved by our emotions. He doesn’t want you to see what God is doing in your life.

God doesn’t do a rush job on anything. God is a detailed God and takes his time to make it right. Bishop teaches the old saying of ‘if it’s fast it won’t last, if it’s slow then it’s for sure’. Bishop tells us to slow down so that we may see and enjoy the goodness of God.

Here lately, people are looking for a quick fix to their problems. They want every day to be Sunday. But Bishop reminds us that God has purpose, plan and destiny for your life and your trials and tribulations will make you better, stronger and wiser. Even when you’re going through, you have to be confident. The Lord will see you through to the end. Just remain true to whom you are and God will keep his promise.

Waiting on the Lord will strengthen you. David waited 14 years to live his promise. You have to wait on the Lord. While you’re waiting be encouraged in knowing how good God has been to you thus far. You may be prolonging your process because your heart is not right. Maybe you’re trying to get your peace of destiny for the wrong reason. Remember trouble doesn’t last always. God is doing something in you right now and you have to be in position to receive it. Wait on the Lord.
